COMMANDANT’S WELCOME SPEECH
Welcome to Police Training School Ikeja. The school is under the able leadership of the commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command Ikeja Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo whose dynamic and scrupulous crime-management techinques is unequalled in the history of policing in recent times in the state.
The school is saddled with the responsibility of training company supernumerary police officers as well as regular policemen on refresher courses in line with the force policy on training and retraining programme of its personnel.
At this critical stage of information technology, the vision of this school is to create a platform for both students and the general public to interact and to give them the opportunity and the awareness it deserves on the activities and functions of the spy police service. And also to give those who have gone through the school the forum to be involved in the developmental programes in the school.
The school is endowed with well motivated veterans as instructors and lecturers of international repute whose exposures in the UN Peace Keepinh operations experiences has brought us to UN standard of doing things.
We offer courses on un-armed combat techniques, psychology, drills, police duties, crime prevention, disaster management, criminal laws, corporate security, VIP protection, surveillance etc. our curriculum is very rich and flexible to accommodate changes in a dynamic security environment such as ours and in line with the global requirements. We also synergize and collaborate with security consultants outside the police department to give lectures/ talks on security related topics for the benenfits of our trainees.
